Nokia 6010

PRESS RELEASE

The new Nokia 6010 phone- Simplicity at its best

Published November 12, 2003

IRVING, TEXAS – Today, Nokia (NYSE: NOK) revealed the Nokia 6010 phone, a handset made for people who want a balance between technology and ease of use. While this affordable phone can take full advantage of multimedia messaging service (MMS) capabilities, downloadable applications, an Internet browser, and PIM functions, the phone is also a great choice for those mobile users most interested in connecting via voice. The familiar Nokia user interface makes accessing and using basic voice applications simple, but also provides quick access to information such as news, sports and business reports. The Nokia 6010 is expected to be available in the Americas market during the first quarter of 2004.

This dual band phone (GSM/GPRS 850/1900 MHz) is ergonomically designed to fit the hand well. The phone features large illuminated keys and a sizable, easy to read screen with color display. The phone incorporates calendar and alarm clock functions, one touch speed dialing, voice dialing for up to 14 numbers and a 500-name phone book with up to 5 numbers and 3 text fields per contact. For efficient, extended voice communications, the phone boasts a battery life of up to 5.5 hours of talk time or 10 days of standby time.

“The Nokia 6010 phone is a perfect fit for the generation of users who didn’t grow up with wireless, but who want to have an easy to use, stylish mobile voice device to enhance their lives and don’t require all of the bells and whistles,” said Pekka Vartiainen, senior vice president of Nokia Mobile Phones. “Versatile products like the Nokia 6010 phone allow us to continue meeting the changing needs of diverse mobile phone users.”

For those who appreciate the larger keypad and simple design of the Nokia 6010 phone, but still like increased functionality, the phone has a number of enhanced features. The phone allows the ability to synchronize the phone book, calendar and to do list, send email and picture messages, and also offers instant messaging functionality that is made easy with predictive text input. Connectivity is further increased with an XHTML mobile Internet browser and high-speed data transmission via GPRS.
